Support Groups

Whether you're a stroke survivor or helping to care for a stroke patient, support groups can help you cope with the condition. For a list of support groups in your area, contact the American Stroke Association (1-800-553-6321). You also can send e-mail to the organization (strokeconnection@heart.org) or visit its Web site (www.StrokeAssociation.org). In addition, the National Stroke Association (www.stroke.org) can help you find regional chapters, stroke centers, and support groups.
