Communicating With Patients About Stroke

Health professionals can provide much needed preventive information and treatment to patients at risk for stroke. Many patients may not understand their risk. It's important to develop an open dialogue with patients and encourage them to ask many questions, as well as to share any disturbing symptoms. It is crucial for physicians to make patients aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle at any age.
